From the Book Of Questions by Gregory Stock, Ph. D. Question: Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,00 to give anonymously to strangers? What if you could keep $1,000,000 or give away $20,000,000?
My answer: Don't get me wrong, I love to spend money. I'd even love to pay off bills with an unexpected windfall, but with the choice given, I'd like to give the money anonymously in both cases.
How about you?

Hmmm...because of the stage of life I am in, I think I might keep it and put it in the kids 429 funds. I guess this question is conditional that you couldn't donate a portion of it, but of course if that was an option, that would be the option I would take. Our philosophy is to get ourselves on solid rock for later in life so we don't end up needing charity, and then helping where we can. I would never keep the money to spend on something frivolous-I think the joy in buying some item you love comes from buying it with money you earn-not that is given to you and never on credit, so we would definitely do something to help our children along.
I feel like my answer was kind of boring, but there you go.
