A Call from Beth

My friend Beth called this morning. She lives in TN now, much to my dismay. She asked what the doctor had said about my arm. I gave her the run down. After hearing the news on my latest injury, she started to kid me a bit about how it happened. Then she asked how I was feeling and if I was rested. She and I had talked several times when I was in CA and feeling overwhelmed. I told her that I was feeling good and that I was just frustrated not to be able to do anything yet because of the arm. She said that my injury was God's way of making me rest more. That He didn't think I had rested enough yet. I joked a little about Him telling me to go ahead and try to step over that gas hose, but what she said makes a little sense. Forced rest is not something I do well, but I'm going to try to take it as something that I need and that it happened for a reason. Even if I can't see it like that all the time.

Now, writing on the blog doesn't hurt a whole lot, but I do feel an occasional pull in my arm when I am on the computer. So, I may not be on here as much as I had planned to be over the next week or so. I'll be back as soon as I can. Until then, take care.

I would have to agree with your friend, Beth. We must when we are tired, even if we don't want to! :-)
