Another Journal is Born

I've been trying to remember the name of a book I read some time back. I wanted to recommend it to a blog friend. I can't remember the book's title or the author, but I can remember that it was about a young woman in a wheel chair who inherited a flower farm from either her aunt or her grandmother. She couldn't handle the farm by herself so she got several roommates to live with her and help with the farm. I know one of the ladies was a cowgirl and one was HIV positive (she may have been the African American character, but they may have been two separate characters also). I can't remember if she had three or four roommates, but I'm leaning toward four. She was also in love with the UPS guy. If this book happens to sound familiar and you know the name, PLEASE tell me the title. This is making me a little nuts! In fact, in an effort not to go through this again, I'm going to start a "books read" journal.

I think I am the blog friend you are trying to remember this for & here I am to answer your question! HA! HA! Isn't that how it usually goes...........

"Bad Girl Creek" by Jo-Ann Mapson

I have already read it & really enjoyed it---we certainly must like the same type of reading material! I have read quite a few of Jo-Ann's books---have you??

:) I've read a couple of Jo-Ann Mapson's book, but not recently. I remember enjoying Hank & Chloe.

I keep a book blog to keep up with my reading now. For years, I wrote titles in the back of my journals, but I wasn't always consistent, and if I wanted to find a book, I had to find the right journal. The book blog keeps me current, and I love reading about other people's reading itineraries.

Pam, you're correct on both counts! Thank you and glad you enjoyed the book. ;)

jenclair, a bookblog is an interesting thought. I'll start with the journal, but wouldn't be a bit surprised if I end up doing that also. I'll have to check yours out.

I have read quite a few of Jo-Ann Mapson's books besides the "Bad Girl Creek"---

"Hank and Chloe"
"Loving Chloe"
"Blue Rodeo"
"Shadow Ranch"
"The Wilder Sisters"

I think "The Wilder Sisters" was my favorite.

I see that there are now 2 more "Bad Girl Creek" books turning it into a series...

"Along Came Mary"
"Goodbye, Earl"

So now you have more to read! :-)
