Happy 4th of July!

Our 4th of July celebration has not gone as planned this year. Our son was not able to make it down from OK because of heavy rain. He was concerned he'd get stuck here and not be able to make it back to the base in time Monday. So, he turned around yesterday and went back. Turned out to be a good thing. His dad is sick and upchucking. Would not have wanted him or the grandkids to get sick. So, our celebration has turned into a quiet weekend of reflection. Never a bad thing.

I didn't have any photos worthy of the 4th of July. So, I went online and started to look for free photos to use. I came across Picapp and this photo really touched me. After all, if it were not for the military, both past and present we would not live in a free country. I am so very grateful to each and every person who has served in the military and who is serving now. I'm grateful for their sacrifice. I'm grateful for the sacrifices of their families also. Thank you to each and every one of you.
